Going to NY/CT today & Baby Pictures!

Hey guys!! I haven't posted in a while, partly because I'm LAZY but also because I’ve got a lot of stuff going that’s either got me worried or busy.

I unfortunately have to keep my update short as I’m at work. Tonight, I’ll be starting my travel up to Connecticut to see my father. His last chemo/radiation therapy is today, which he is absolutely thrilled about, he’s feeling very sick and is anxious to start feeling better. He is still working a couple of hours a day (against his doctor’s wishes), but he tells me he does so only because he can’t afford not to work, he needs to pay for his treatments, etc. Financially, he’s struggling, but he doesn’t have a lot of debt (no car payment, no house payment, no credit cards, etc.). I asked him yesterday if he remembered the commercial of the guy that said “I got a house, a home, a pool…want to know how I do it? I’m in DEBT up to my EYE BALLS!”…well Dad, that’s the life I’m living! He started laughing but he also completely understands, he’s been there before and unfortunately, he learned the hard way and lost everything….now, he can’t even have a credit card since his credit is horrible…BUT THAT’S GOOD! It always shocks me when someone tells me that they’ve accepted the fact that it’s the American Way to be in debt…..I use to think that way but not anymore! I want people to learn that it’s the AMERICAN WAY to live DEBT FREE! :-) I got a LONG way to go but baby steps will get me there.

Anyway, I’m really excited about visiting my father, and he is too…he’s just nervous about how Cassandra will react to him since she’s never meet him….she does talk to him every week on the phone and calls him “Daddy” *lol* I keep telling her that “he’ s my daddy” but then she gets really mad at me, and says “NO, HE”S MINE MOMMY!” It’s just too adorable!

I will also get to see my mother; she’s actually visiting us from Canada. She’s left this morning from Presque Isle Maine by bus and should arrive in Hartford later on tonight – she’s very anxious to see my daughter and mentioned to me that she will not leave her sight! I then proceeding to tell mom that she needed to be considerate of my father and “share” Cassandra with him. I also forewarned my father about my mother being very attached to Cassandra and may be a little selfish but he said that was totally OK with him, which made me feel a lot better.

On another note, I had an Ultrasound yesterday and I’m 14 weeks pregnant (which I thought I was 13)…my due date is now August 20th vs. Sept 6th. It also may be a BOY! We may have a Joshua Jr in our hands! I’m including baby pictures below!

p.s. I still have my moments of nausea and fatigue, however my real struggle now is getting back into a routine because lack of motivation and due to laziness.
